From the older estates around Cranbrook to the newer builds off Long Lake Road, Bloomfield Hills has some of the most architecturally interesting residential roofs in southeast Michigan. They also tend to be the trickiest to do right.
We've been on roofs in pretty much every Bloomfield Hills neighborhood at this point — Wing Lake, Vhay Lake, Cranbrook, Foxcroft, Lakeside Estates, the Hills of Lone Pine. A few patterns:
GAF Camelot II and CertainTeed Grand Manor are the two most-installed designer asphalt lines in Bloomfield Hills neighborhoods. Stout dimensional profile, deep shadow lines, color tones that suit older brick and stone.
For mid-century moderns, contemporary builds, and homeowners doing it once. Charcoal, dark bronze, and slate gray are the colors we install most often here. More on metal →
When the home needs the look of cedar shake or clay tile but the homeowner wants metal-roof lifespan. Decra installs over solid decking and reads as shake from the curb.
The City of Bloomfield Hills (and Bloomfield Township) both require a building permit for a full roof replacement. We pull the permit on your behalf — we're licensed in the city — and we handle the rough and final inspections. You don't need to be home for either.
If your home is in a deed-restricted neighborhood or has an HOA approval requirement (more common than people realize in the older estates), we'll provide the material spec, samples, and product cut sheets needed for HOA submission. We've done this enough that we know which neighborhoods need what.
We'll come out, measure, and write a real spec.
