Our process

How a roof actually gets done — from first call to packout.

No mystery, no pressure, no day-of surprises. Here's exactly what happens between the day you call us and the day we drive away.

1

You call or fill out the form.

Usually the same day. Someone with a phone and a name picks up — not a chatbot. We'll ask a few questions about the house: rough year built, story height, last reroof, what's going on now (leaks, sagging, missing shingles, just getting bids, planning ahead for next year). Then we book a measure.

2

We come measure — in person.

We climb the roof if it's safe to climb. We walk the deck for soft spots, check valleys, look at the chimney flashing, the pipe boots, the ridge vent, and the attic from inside if you'll let us. We use EagleView for accurate dimensions, but we don't pretend the satellite report tells us about your decking or your attic intake.

First-call to first-measure is usually 1–3 business days in Oakland County.

3

You get a written estimate with the spec attached.

Within two business days of the measure. The estimate names the brand, the shingle line (or panel system), the underlayment, the ice and water coverage, the nail pattern, the flashing replacement, and the ventilation plan. If you want two or three shingle options, you'll get them — but no high-pressure "good-better-best" upsell theater.

No deposit needed to get the estimate. We don't charge for measures.

4

You ask questions. We answer them.

Most homeowners take a few days. Sometimes weeks. We don't badger you. We'll send one polite follow-up two weeks out asking if you have questions. If you want a face-to-face to walk through the bid, we'll come back. If you want to compare against another bid, we'll help you read it.

5

You approve. We schedule.

A signed estimate puts you on the production calendar. We confirm the install dates, lock in shingle color, and order materials. Lead time is typically two to four weeks in season; sometimes longer if there's a backlog. We'll always tell you the truth about timing.

6

Day before: a check-in call.

The day before install, the foreman calls you to confirm start time, where to park the dumpster, where to stage materials, where to put the trucks, and any specifics about the property (gate codes, pets, sprinkler heads, that one flower bed your wife will end you over).

7

Install day(s). Tarp, tear off, inspect, install, clean.

Dumpster shows up early. Crew arrives by 7:30. Tarps go down over landscaping. Tear-off, decking inspection (with photos to you of anything we have to replace), ice and water shield, underlayment, flashing, shingles or panels, ventilation, final magnet sweep.

Typical 30-square install: 1–2 days. We won't start if the weather's bad — open decking overnight is how leaks happen.

8

Foreman walks the roof with you.

Before we leave, the foreman walks the property with you. Final magnet sweep of driveway, walkways, lawn. Photo handoff. Punch list of anything you noticed. Foreman's cell number for the next 30 days.

9

Warranty paperwork lands in your inbox.

Manufacturer system warranty registered to your address. Workmanship warranty in writing from us. Photo file from the install (deck condition, flashing replacement, ice and water coverage, ridge vent install). That's your record if you sell the house — or if anything ever needs to be checked.

10

We're still here in five years. And ten.

Most of our calls aren't new business — they're previous customers needing something small. A flashing inspection. A vent cap that lost a cap. A storm-damage check. We answer those calls because we'd rather keep a customer than chase a new one.
