Your new roof warranty, explained

A new Stormshield roof comes with two warranties: Malarkey's standard Limited Lifetime shingle warranty against manufacturing defects, with full coverage (no depreciation) for the first 10, 15 or 20 years depending on your shingle, and Stormshield's own workmanship warranty, with its term written into your contract.

1. Malarkey's shingle warranty

• What it covers: manufacturing defects in your Malarkey shingles (Limited Lifetime).
• Full-coverage period: 10 years for Highlander, 15 for Vista, 20 for Legacy Scotchgard. During this period coverage is not reduced for the age of the roof. After it, coverage continues under the terms of Malarkey's warranty.
• Wind: a standard wind warranty of 110 mph on all three.
• Algae: Legacy Scotchgard adds a lifetime limited algae warranty.
• What it doesn't cover: installation. That is what the workmanship warranty is for.

2. Stormshield's workmanship warranty

Stormshield stands behind its installation with its own workmanship warranty. The term is written into your contract, so you know exactly what's covered before you sign.

Keeping your warranty documents

Our production team hands over your warranty documents at the final walkthrough. Keep them with your home records; you'll want them if you ever need to make a claim.
